MS Electrical Engineering — Specialization in Integrated Circuits & Systems
The MS Electrical Engineering specialization in Integrated Circuits & Systems is a full-time postgraduate degree program offered at NUST School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (SEECS) with academic and technical support from the NUST Chip Design Centre (NCDC). It is delivered under the Semiconductor Education & Research Cluster (SERC-North) as part of NSHRDP Phase-I, in collaboration with the Pakistan Software Export Board (PSEB).
The program develops high-quality human resource in the semiconductor domain, with emphasis on integrated circuit design, verification, semiconductor systems, commercial EDA tools, and industry-oriented research. Selected candidates are expected to remain fully committed to academic, research, laboratory, and project requirements throughout the two-year degree.
Year I focuses on advanced IC design and verification coursework, research methods, industry problem statements, and commercial EDA environments, with thesis preparation toward R&D and tape-out–oriented work. A semiconductor thesis runs alongside coursework. IC design streams aim for exposure up to GDS-II where feasible; actual tape-out / MPW depends on tools, PDKs, and PSEB support release.

MS EE — Integrated Circuits and Systems. Course offerings below are indicative and will be offered subject to university policies.
All tracks include EE core coursework in Stochastic Systems and Linear System Theory, plus Research Methodology. A semiconductor thesis runs alongside coursework through the program.
